Dorothy M. Taylor 1925 - 2008 Lawrence

Services for Dorothy M. Taylor, 83, Lawrence, were Tuesday, June 3, at West Haven Baptist Church, Tonganoxie. Burial was in Baxter Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Taylor died Friday, May 30, 2008, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 4, 1925, in Baxter Springs, the daughter of Floyd W. and Bessie Brewer Doty.
She worked in government service and was a member of West Haven Baptist Church, several square-dancing clubs and American Legion Auxiliary.
She married Melvin B. Taylor on May 28, 1947, in Baxter Springs. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Don, Lawrence, Kan., and Larry, Overland Park; two sisters, Frances Heavin, Baxter Springs, and Wilma J. Selle, Nixa, Mo.; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren; a great-grandson and two step great-grandsons.
