Jarrett Lane 1964 - 2008 Bonner Springs
Services for Jarrett Lane, 44, Bonner Springs, were Monday, Oct. 6, at Countryside Christian Church in Mission.
Mr. Lane died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, at University of Kansas Hospital from injuries suffered in a Sept. 22 traffic accident.
He was born May 25, 1964, in Kansas City, Kan. , the son of Dr. James and Janiece Lane.
He was a 1982 graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School, where he led the state-champion soccer team. He received degrees in journalism and civil engineering from KU.
Mr. Lane enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served six years and was honorably discharged at the rank of Hull Technician 2nd Class. He worked for more than 10 years as an account executive for Donnelly & Associates in Fairway, and most recently as a professional civil engineer for Grundfos Pumps Corp. of Olathe.
Survivors include a brother, Jeff, of Grass Valley, Calif.
Mr. Lane’s selflessness abounded during his life and even in death; his gift of tissue donation has benefited more than 50 recipients already.
