Floyd Franklin Foster, 87, Mission, died Dec. 24, 2007, in Louisberg, Kan. Services were scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, followed by a burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27. The family suggests memorials be made to Vintage Park, Louisburg, Kan., or to Odyssey Hospice c/o Odyssey Healthcare.
Mr. Foster was born June 9, 1920, in Warsaw, Mo., son of Elsie Maude Tye and Lawrence Patterson Foster. He served in the army during World War II and was a radio repairman with the Santa Fe Railroad.
Mr. Foster is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Lou Cotter.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Saint of Bonner Springs, and Connie
Bond of Louisburg; two sisters, Eula Smith and Elva Mae Mistler; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
