Martin Ronnie Koldyke, 68, of Bonner Springs, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, KS. With burial to follow in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Visitations was Wednesday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall, Kansas City MO 64145.

Mr. Koldyke was born July 27, 1939, in Indianapolis, Ind., and had lived in this area for the last 21 years. He graduated from Jackson High School in Westport, Ind. and became an over-the-road truck driver for more than 25 years until February of 1984. He then moved to Kansas, where he worked for Kiefs Transfer in Kansas City, Kan., for six years, at which time he was disabled after a fall. For the past six years he has worked for Lakeshore Mobile Home Parks in Bonner Springs as a groundskeeper. And for the past six years he has been on the Board of Elders at the Church of Faith in Bonner Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters and one daughter, Bonnie Koldyke, in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Koldyke, of the home; two sons, Louis "Jerry" Foga of Bonner Springs; and Daniel Foga-Koldyke of Owensboro, Ky.; one daughter Sharon Mullins, Tampa, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. He also cared for 43 foster children while living in Indiana and Kansas.
