Private memorial services for Ruth Carol Bloodworth McNair, 73, Tonganoxie, will be at a later date.
Mrs. McNair, formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died Monday, July 28, 2008, at Tonganoxie Nursing Center.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1935, in Neodesha, Kan., the daughter of Floyd and Esther Everett McNair. She graduated from Wellington, Kan., High School and the College of Emporia in 1957. She worked as a commercial artist for Hallmark Cards in Kansas City, Kan., and also was a home economics teacher for 35 years in the Kansas City, Kan., school district.
Survivors include four nieces, Sonia Reetz, Lawrence, Kan., Sarah Wallace, Topeka, Kan., Heidi Wallace, Houston, and Angela Wallace, Los Angeles.
