Geraldine Anne "Jerre" Stafford 1930 - 2008 Leavenworth

Geraldine Ann "Jerre" Stafford, 78, of Leavenworth, Kan., died Sept. 7, 2008, at Overland Park Regional from complications of kidney disease. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Tues. Sept. 9, 2008, at Charter Funerals/Sunset Chapel. Funeral services will be private and burial in Sunset Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. or Leukemia Society.
Geraldine was born May 3, 1930, in Moline, Kan. She believed in the importance of family. She had a keen interest in genealogy and was eligible for membership in the D.A.R. Geraldine had a sincere love for animals and gardening. She was an accomplished pianist, violinist, seamstress and an expert in crochet, winning awards for her work. She had a collection of dolls and a love for antiques and antiquing. She enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad. Geraldine earned her license in real estate and also worked as an office manager, accountant, business owner and was a very devoted homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Ramona McCormick. Survivors include former husband Jim Stafford, children Mona (Emge) Goss, Larry Emge, Dawn Stafford-Robinson and Dale Stafford, grandchildren Brendan, Scott and Greg Goss; Brook Dorman, Jennifer Emge, Lori Thornton and Kurtis Kupiszewski, many beloved great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
