Cornelius Pellman Dukelow 1920 - 2009 Lenexa

Lenexa — Memorial services for Cornelius Pellman “Neil C.P.” Dukelow, 88, Lenexa, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at Lakeview Village Southridge: Treetop Room, Lenexa.
Mr. Dukelow died Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at Lakeview Village Care Center.
He was born Aug. 3, 1920, in Hutchinson, the son of Howard Martin and Sylvia DeWitt Dukelow (Harrison).
Mr. Dukelow attended Hutchinson Junior College, Park College and Princeton Theological Seminary.
He served as a minister for 30 years at Presbyterian churches in Ashland, Atchison, Kansas City, Kan., and Trimble, Mo. After retiring from the ministry, he taught in the Kansas City, Mo., school district.
Mr. Dukelow described himself as a country boy, Boy Scout, wrestler, pole vaulter, student, minister, teacher, husband, father, salesman, factory worker, writer and philosopher. He published a book on his 85th birthday explaining how the world could be unified by his concept of Ultimate Cause, to be followed by his yet to be published memoirs.
He married Ruth Ann Brown on May 24, 1943, in Overland Park. She and a son, C.P. Dukelow, died earlier.
Survivors include a daughter, Connie Anstaett; two sons, Robert and James; two sisters, Catherine Snyder and Betsy Surtees; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to Lakeview Village Foundation for the Care Center.
