Sherrian D. Beor 1950 - 2009
Bonner Springs – Services for Sherrian D. Beor, 59, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Chapel Hill Butler Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beor died Monday, Aug. 31, 2009, at her home in Bonner Springs. She was born July 16, 1950, to David Sr. and Estelle (Fenton) Richardson of Kansas City, Kan. She married Fred Beor August 1971 and they had 38 happy years together.
She worked as a cook in elementary schools in districts 500, 458 and 232. Mrs. Beor was loved by the school children and staff. She was known as the best dinner roll maker.
Sherrian enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friends and family. She was an accomplished mother, housekeeper, spouse, cook, church member, volunteer and friend. Her faith in God and prayer carried her as she fought her illness with unbelievable strength and determination.
She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church of Kansas City, Kan., and participated in volunteering and walking in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Her last walk was August 9, 2009, which she completed in a wheelchair being pushed by daughters Peggy and Pam and granddaughters Tabby and Chelsea.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Beor, daughters; Peggy Sue Johnson (Troy), Pamela Rae Gilpin (Jason), step-daughters; Michelle Ray (P.D.), Teresa Osburn (Robert), step-son, Bryan Beor, a brother David L. Richardson, Jr. (Carla), sister Judy Jennings (Rick) and nine grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the visitation from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at the funeral home.
