Delbert "Deb" D. Jennings 1924 - 2010 Merriam

Services for Delbert “Deb” D. Jennings, 85, Merriam, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, at Elm Grove Baptist Church, Bonner Springs. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Jennings died Sunday Dec. 19, 2010, at Delmar Gardens Nursing Home in Lenexa.
He was born Dec. 25, 1924, in New Cambria, Mo. In 1953, Mr. Jennings came to Kansas City to work. He was employed in the construction field the majority of his working life and later owned Jennings Excavating. He retired in 1988.
Mr. Jennings was always an active member of the local Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific Theater.
A granddaughter preceded him in death
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Anna Mae Jennings, of the home; five children Sandra (Wayne) Henry, Kansas City, Mo., Debbie (Sandy) Seaba, Bonner Springs, Dan (Melinda) Jennings, Gardner; Denise (Don) O’Toole, Kansas City, Kan., and Teresa (Ron) Farnsworth, Spring Hill; a sister, Laveta Smith, Excello, Mo.; a brother, Charles (Ethel) Jennings, Bevier, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
