Edsel Marsh Snapp 1924 - 2010
Services for Edsel Marsh Snapp, 85, Cape Fair, Mo., were Saturday, March 13, at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kan.
Burial with military honors was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Snapp died March 10, 2010, at Lawrence Medical Center.
He was born June 18, 1924, in Windsor, Mo., the son of Jacob Alexander and Alma May (Marsh) Snapp.
He was a World War II Army veteran. Mr. Snapp worked for General Motors’ Fairfax assembly plant before retiring in 1980. He was a member of United Auto Workers Union and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Cape Fair.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Esther Grace (Hutsler) Snapp; a granddaughter, Leslie Snapp; five sisters, Ravena Paxton, Fern Goldsmith, Oliva Wear, Verchel Benz and Alma Edna Elliott; and a brother, Ralph Snapp.
Survivors include three sons: Gerald Snapp (Kris) of Marshall, Mo., Jacob Lynn Snapp (Diane) of Butler, Mo., Ron Snapp (Susie), Tonganoxie; and one daughter, Carolyn Evans (Mark), Bonner Springs; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
