Stanley J. Cygan Jr. 2009 - 2010

Basehor – Services for Stanley J. Cygan Jr., 61, Basehor, were Wednesday, May 19 at Basehor United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Cygan died Saturday, May 15, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
He was born Nov. 24, 1948, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Stanley and Margiedean Cygan.
Mr. Cygan was a 1966 graduate of Washington High School. He was a production worker for Owens Corning Fiberglass Company for 36 years, retiring in 2004, and was a union steward for the Insulation Production Workers Local Union No. 1. Mr. Cygan had a passion for bowling and won many awards in bowling leagues at Muncie and Ranch Bowl. His hobby was gardening, and he planted more than 100 tomato plants the weekend before he died.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Barbara Cygan; two children, Daniel and Annie, all of the home; two sisters, Ethelann Coleman and Louise Mendoza, both of Kansas City, Kan.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
