Truman Wayne Nusbaum 1931 - 2010

Edwardsville — Funeral services for Truman Wayne Nusbaum, 79, of Edwardsville, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at the Popkess Mortuary in Sabetha, with burial to follow in the Bern Cemetery in Bern.
Mr. Nusbaum died Sunday, May 23, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Feb. 27, 1931, in Bern. He enlisted in the Navy in December 1950, and retired from the Air Force in June 1972. He returned to Sabetha and started work as a truck driver for Consolidated Freight, where he worked for 20 years.
He and his family moved to the Kansas City, Kan., area in 1976 and then later to Edwardsville. He loved fishing and spending time talking and drinking coffee with his friends.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Keith Null, and a grandson, Tim Kloss.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alice Nusbaum, of the home; three daughters, Debra Kloss (Edward), Terry Klapmeyer, both of Hiawatha, and Dixie Brown (Jon), of Edwardsville; a sister, Donna Leitschuck, of Beatrice, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
