Donna Mae Brown 1931 - 2011 Gardner
Services for Donna Mae Brown, 79, Gardner, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin City. Burial will be in Wellsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Brown died at 6:37 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at Olathe Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 20, 1931, in Tacoma, Wash., the daughter of Don E. and Josephine E. (Matsumoto) McGregor. She attended area schools, graduating from Hartford High School in Hartford.
She was an administration assistant clerk of the district court in Lawrence for many years, retiring in 1975.
She married Donald Louis Hunt, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 28, 1974, she married Jesse L. Brown. He survives of the home. A daughter, Linda Crochett, also died earlier.
After retirement, from 1979 until 1996, the Browns moved to Branson, Mo.
Other survivors include her daughter Barbara (Marc) Farris, Pomona; a son, Don (Kristi) Hunt, Olathe; three sisters, Dolores Bouse, Branson, Mo., Frankie Blair, Texas, and Midge Casselman, Wellsville; two brothers, Donnie McGregor, England, and David McGregor, Basehor; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson Brayden Cassaday of Gardner.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 17, at the funeral home.
