Erma F. Gimlin 1923 - 2011 Bonner Springs

Funeral services for Erma Fay Gimlin, 87, Bonner Springs, were Monday, June 20, at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. Burial followed later in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ellis, Kan.
Mrs. Gimlin died Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at the Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Erma was born on Nov. 16, 1923, in Kansas. She married Roy L. Gimlin, and they had one son, Steven Gimlin. She retired from the Union Pacific Railroad in 1983 after 40 years of employment and was proud to work at the Bonner Springs Depot. Erma was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Bonner Springs Bible Baptist Church. She loved doing family history and was a member of many Historical Societies.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her son, Steven, and his wife, Kathleen, of the home; a granddaughter; a step-daughter, Laura Moller and husband Jerry; and a sister, Isabelle Adamic of Canyon City, Colo.
