Cleo Lorene Blake 1917 - 2011 Shawnee

Visitation and services for Cleo Lorene Blake, 93, Shawnee, were Saturday, June 18, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Mrs. Blake died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at her home.
She was born Dec. 16, 1917, in Forest City, Mo., the daughter of James and Mae McClanahan.
She lived most of her life in Shawnee after moving to the city in 1943. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Shawnee for more than 65 years and served as church secretary for two of its pastors. She loved music, playing the piano and organ, and was a well-liked employee of the former Garretts Grocery store in Shawnee.
Her husband, William “Bud” Blake, and son Steve Blake preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Blake, Chicago, and Jim (Debbi) Blake, Shawnee; one daughter, Sandy (Danny) Kincade, Shawnee; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
