Thelma Ruth White 1930 - 2011 Spring Hill
Services for Thelma Ruth Wilhite, 81, Spring Hill, formerly of rural Linwood, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, at First Baptist Church of Basehor. Burial will be at Glenwood Cemetery near Basehor.
Mrs. Wilhite died Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Black Hawk Assisted Living in Spring Hill.
She was born March 21, 1930, in Lock Springs, Mo.
Mrs. Wilhite was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and raising a garden. She was involved in 4-H as a member and as a leader. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Basehor.
Her husband of 53 years, Clifford A. Wilhite, died in 2001.
Survivors include seven children, Dennis (Kathi) Wilhite, Bonner Springs, Tom (Mylinda) Wilhite, Baldwin City, Ruth Ann (Tom) Bigge, Stockton, Mary Sue (Dale) Smith, Wamego, Marcia Zimmerman, Holton, Diana (Paul) Sowers, Spring Hill, and Donna (Mitch) Keck, Stilwell; 23 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at the church.
