Ralph Stephen ‘Steve’ Walker 1949 - 2011 Dodge City

A memorial celebration of life service for Ralph Stephen (Steve) Walker, 62, Dodge City, will be 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs. A second service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Burial of cremated remains will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
Mr. Walker died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at his daughter’s home in Lansing. He had cancer.
He was born Sept. 23, 1949, in Dodge City, the son of Ralph W. Walker and Eunice L. (Imel) Walker.
Steve attended St. Mary of the Plains High School and later earned his business degree from Fort Hays State University.
His first career was 35 years in the banking industry, and he later embarked on a career in casino management, most recently at the Boot Hill Casino & Resort in Dodge City.
Survivors include a daughter, Katherine L. Walker (Mike Henshaw), Lansing; his mother, Eunice L. Walker, Dodge City; and a sister, Sheila (Bob) Lilley, Kingwood, Texas.
