William Richard Ruff 1941 - 2011 Bonner Springs

Services for William Richard Ruff, 69, Bonner Springs, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25 at Bible Baptist Church, Bonner Springs. Burial will be in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Ruff died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family, after a battle with cancer.
He was born Dec. 27, 1941, in Dallas, Ga., the son of Roy and Mary (Ingram) Ruff.
Mr. Ruff moved in 1965 to the Kansas City area where he joined Teamsters and was employed as a truck driver for various trucking companies: Manley Transfer, Jones Truck Line, Churchill Truck Lines, then retiring from ABF in 1999. He spent his retirement years rehabbing houses and being a landlord in Kansas City, Kan. In March 1993, he gave his heart to the Lord and became a member of Bible Baptist Church in Bonner Springs, where he was active until his passing.
His daughter, Michelle Ruff, died Oct. 15, 2011.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Naomi; two sons, Mark Ruff (Rebecca) and Mitch Ruff, both of Bonner Springs; two brothers, Thomas Ruff (Pat), Cartersville, Ga., and Lemon Ruff (Sue), Acworth, Ga.; a sister, Martha Jane Perry (Eddie), Cartersville, Ga.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at the church.
