Orrin L. Dunham 1933 - 2012 Kansas City, Kansas

Orrin L. Dunham, age 78, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28th at the Edwardsville Christian Church with burial to follow in the Edwardsville Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, also at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Manhattan Christian College or St. Luke’s Hospice both in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home.
Orrin was born on September 6, 1933 in Pressonville, Kansas. He proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Following his discharge he attended Manhattan Christian College graduating with a Bachelor’s in Theology. For the duration of his life he shared his gift of ministry with everyone he met, devoting 8 years of his life to Second Creek Christian Church in Linkville, MO. He was extensively involved in the local 4H programs, served as assistant scout master of the Boy Scout Troup #229, longtime member of the Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Kiwanis and American Legion Post #0058. He enjoyed fishing and camping and was an avid recycler. He was preceded in death by his wife Cleta Mae Scott Dunham. Survivors include his five sons; Bert P.L. Dunham and wife Donna Kay of Tonganoxie, KS., David E. Dunham of Tonganoxie, KS., Kevin S. Dunham and wife Lorrie A. of Kansas City, MO., Stacey E. Dunham of Kansas City, KS., Marc D. Dunham and wife Gabrielle C. of Kansas City, MO., two sisters; Edna Mae Tate and husband Don of Parkville, MO., Wanda Jo Inman and husband Kenneth of Shawnee, KS., one brother Jack S. Dunham and wife Marge of Bonner Springs, KS., 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, four step children; Bobby, Ronald, Gerald Pope and Linda Langer, as well as other extended family and friends.
