Frederick William Morche’ Jr, 1952 - 2013 Linwood
Frederick William Morche’ Jr, age 60, passed away April 04, 2013 at his home in Linwood, Kansas. Funeral Services were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 10, 2013 at the Westside Family Church (8500 Woodsonia Dr. Lenexa, KS. 66227) burial followed in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. Visitation was 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday evening also at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Fred Morchè, Jr. Memorial Fund at Union Bank and Trust or the Tri-County Rod and Gun Club, both can be mailed to the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home. There will also be a box to place them in at the visitation and funeral.
Fred was born April 23, 1952 to Frederick William and Lena Bell Raw Morchè of Bonner Springs and they preceded him in death. Fred lived his entire life in the Bonner Springs area. Fred was a truck driver most of his life retiring from Max Rieke Bros. in 2010. He was currently the member in residence at Tri-County Rod & Gun Club, current President of the Restoration Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclists Association member of Mason’s Lodge #3 of Kansas City and member of Westside Family Church being one of the original members starting the branch of the church at the Legends.
Fred was married to Connie Walters Haley on January 14, 1995. He loved traveling, especially by motorcycle. Camping at the back lakes of Tri-County was his favorite place and cooking for the family whether it was his smoked baked beans or his famous potato soup.
Fred is survived by his wife, Connie, and daughter, McKinzie of the home, daughters Jodie (Scott) Wood of Liberty, MO; Jaime Morche of Gladstone, MO, Anna Hilt of Atchison, KS; Nikki Gregory of Maggie Valley, NC; sons Jeff (Jennifer) Haley of Paola, KS; Dan (Susie) Morche of KC, KS; Rob (Erin) Hilt of Edgerton, KS. Two brothers Ted (Carol) Smith of Bonner Springs, KS., Bill Smith of Huntington Beach, CA., and one sister Mary (Larry) Newby of Lititz, PA. 20 grandkids and 4 great grandkids.
