AnnaMae Petersen 1936 - 2013 Kansas City, KS

AnnaMae Petersen, 77, of KCK, passed away August 17, 2013. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 20th at Basehor United Methodist Church, 18660 158th St., Basehor, KS 66007. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 21st at Basehor United Methodist Church. Interment will follow the services in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Basehor United Methodist Church building fund.
AnnaMae was born August 15, 1936 in Bethel, KS to Laurence J. and Mae E. (Brumfield) Bailes. She attended Central Junior High and graduated from Wyandotte High School. AnnaMae married to M.A. “Pete” Petersen on April 17, 1953. She was a very active person and was always doing something; especially camping, boating, riding a motorcycle with her husband or black powder shooting, sewing, quilting or crochet. AnnaMae volunteered at the Tonganoxie Learning Center and with groups from her church, but she always put her family first. She was preceded in death by her husband Pete Petersen, parents, Laurence Bailes, Sr. and Mae E. Brumfield Bailes; siblings, Harold Bailes, Juanita Bailes Brull and Laurence Bailes, Jr.
AnnaMae is survived by her sister, Betty L. Bowers of Shawnee; children, Richard (Cindy) Petersen of Basehor, Kathryn (Jed) Beers of Basehor, David (Judi) Petersen of Grain Valley, MO and Annette (Ruben) Rodriguez of KCK; as well as twelve grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many friends and other family.
The family of AnnaMae wishes to extend a special sentiment of appreciation to Burl Gratny and his family for the love that they shared and the time that they spent with her in her later years.
