Nancy Jo Pembleton 1950 - 2013

Nancy Jo Pembleton (Falk), 63, went to be with The Lord on Monday, June 17th, 2013.
Born to Chester and Doris Falk in Wheaton Kansas on March 11, 1950, Nancy grew to embody the essence of strength and quiet determination. Her husband, Steve Pembleton and their three children, Carmen, Jason and Brian were her world. She lived a life dedicated to them and God and protected them with all she had. Even her departure to Heaven seems to have been a way to protect the family as she won her battle against Pancreatic Cancer.
She joins her mother, her father and her step-father in Heaven and patiently awaits the arrival of her family. She goes ahead of Steve, Carmen, Jason and Brian, her sister Cheryl Charleston, two brothers Dean Falk and Bradley Hammel, and her 4 grandchildren with one on the way. It’s no doubt she goes to prepare a place for them, and ensure things are properly organized and ready for them.
Do not mistake this for an average obituary, as Nancy was no average woman. It seems inappropriate to fill out a form to mark her life. We all love her deeply and will feel the pain of missing her until we join her.
Please join us in celebrating Nancy. We celebrate that she is alive through Christ. We celebrate that she is cancer-free. We celebrate that we will be with her again.
Visitation: 6:00pm-8:00pm Thursday, June 20 at Alden Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs, Kansas. Celebration service 10:30am Friday, June 21st at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 3105 W. 135th St., Leawood, Kansas. Burial will be in the Bonner Springs Cemetery
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations may be made in honor of Nancy to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or Siteman Cancer Center
Both in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St. Bonner Springs, KS. 913-422-4074 AldenHarrington.com
