What could we do as individuals or as a nation to save oil?

"We need to put pressure on the car companies to develop engines that are more fuel-efficient. Hybrid cars are a good example."
Jay Muckenthaler ( in ) says...
"Recycle more plastics and start using less plastics. People don't realize it, but plastic is totally made out of oil products."
Matt Rogers ( in ) says...
"We should start off with flex fuel. We should start producing ethanol and alcohol from things other than corn, then quit buying cars that don't use flex fuel."
