Is now a good time for the city to spend money on a program that would make its finances more easily searchable through its Web site?

As long as financial information is already available on request, this sounds like it would be needlessly spending money that we don’t have.

Now is not the time to spend time and money on providing the data. It is unlikely that the general public is interested in crunching the City’s numbers.

With the current economic situation, return on investment is more important than ever. I personally don’t view it as a good investment.
