Do you agree with Gov. Mark Parkinson's decision to move forward with a coal-fired power plant in Holcomb?

Ken Mark ( in Tonganoxie) says...
“I have mixed feelings about it. I like some of the provisions that focus on renewable energy, and the jobs this project will create in southwest Kansas is a good thing. At the same time, I am not convinced that there is such a thing as clean coal power.”
Emily Jefferies ( in Tonganoxie) says...
“No, because I think that there are cleaner, cheaper alternatives in the long run, and safer ways to produce substantial amounts of energy without having to use coal-fired power plants.”
Nila Denholm ( in Tonganoxie) says...
“Probably go along with the coal and hope they have a way to take care of the pollution. I don’t think we need any more pollution. We’re kind of between a rock and a hard spot I think.”
