Patricia Schurkamp (Wyandotte County Historical Museum director in ) says...

“I do not support his proposed budget in its entirety. I am concerned about some of the cuts, mainly the Kansas Arts Commission. If we cut all of our arts and culture due to the recession, what will we have left to offer Kansans and visitors when the recession is over?”

“As an educator, I am extremely concerned any time budget cuts impact educational programs. Additional cuts will obviously make it more difficult to provide students with the educational experience they deserve.”

Joe Hornback (Bonner Springs High School principal in ) says...

“I don’t like the additional cuts to education. It gets harder every day to convince our young people they are important, and we care about their future, when our leaders continue to cut the resources needed to create a world class education.”
