A car came to rest on the north side of Leavenworth Road after hitting an Isuzu utility vehicle Friday night in Basehor at 163rd Street. The 21-year-old male driver of the car was air lifted to an area hospital. His condition was unknown. The driver of the other vehicle was taken an area hospital as well. Witnesses told the sheriff’s officers that the car was seen traveling at a high rate of speed just moments before the accident.

rick may have been a wild one but he was one of the bestest friends anyone could ask for.
if you needed him he was there, he had a great sense of humor always had people laughing at his crazy ass, and he will be truely missed,.
i am sorry for those who were hit by him in this accident, but rick went out the way he should have. and thats by living life on the edge and having fun in his own way.
i just wish he wasnt fighting with his girlfriend this wouldve never happened… rick i love you and i will always miss you, you will never be forgotten

(Researching) That is a terrible thing to say. Rick was a wild child and he loved living on the edge, but he didn't deserve to die. It is a terrible thing for everyone involved. My prayers go out to Ricks family and the person who was struck in the accident.

Researching you dont even know the whole story as to why he was speeding and to why the accident occurred, basically another person played a role in it!!!! You havent heard about the other guy cuz DUH he is ok!!! SO Stop being a prick and get a life and leave people the hell alone! Obviously the media and newspapers didnt find this story as one to report, because of the severity of it.

Researching , who do you think you are GOD. Only god can judge. if the basehor police are talking about my son which is slander. That is cause for a law suit. I You must not have a child of your own to be so insensitive or have a life oh your own. And yes I have sympathy for the man who pulled out in front of my son,and hope his family is not going through what our family is going through. I find you to be disrespectful and a coward to say what you are saying, without acknowledging who you are. I could say much more but I,m not going to waste my time with a idiot. Reseaching no guts no glory you talk a big talk but really can't do the walk huh? you don't care about how people feel this was someones son and brother He was loved and cared for by everyone. he was a loving person and would do anything to help someone in need. So in reality you need to think about what you say because your really just the on hurting inside.

!!! God Bless the family of Richard Keith Graham and the individual invalved (apologize for not using his legal name). This is coming from somone who was probably disliked by Ricky more than MR. Researching was , I would never say the things you have said about Ricky. There are things that you don't say especially when a family is struggling with the death of a young family member. You (researching) need to realise what they are going through right now, that being said I pray that God is with you!!! Stop and think, put yourself in their shoes. Just realise that God sees all!!! Squash the hard feelings cause I have and learn from it. it's all good!!!

I believe that God has a plan for all of us and the person that would post judgement should be very careful. Its my true belief that when you make a judgement like that it will come back at you. I can say I do know that Rick was a young man that loved life and just liked to make things fun. He was not a bad kid in anyway! If you are a law enforcement officer then shame on you it is not your job to judge the living nor play God!! By trying to protect and serve. We can only pray that our young teens and young adults get through the invincible stage of life before this happens!! Susan Davis

For (researching) you say we perceive that Ricky was a wonderful person that was not a perception of Ricky, That was Ricky. Obviously you did not know him or know him well enough or you could not say that. It sounds like what you feel for the family is hate or you would not dog on them so much by putting Ricky down with every comment that you have. Yes every thing you are saying is your opinion and your opinion only and that does not make you right and all of us wrong. How would you know how fast he was going unless you are a police officer and there and if so that is know way for the police to act. Protect, serve and not judge the family that has lost him. If you where there and a police officer then you should have stopped and gave him a speeding ticket. And honestly how many people go the exact speed limit. The comment about the bicycle was not called for he would never still a childs bike for gas money so maybe your comments should be thought out a little bit more and be the truth istead of a lie. And maybe you should go back to school and take an anger management class if you have so much hate for one child that you have spent so much time on this site putting him down. Its time to let this family grieve in peace.

Researhing your sources are not that reliable. My brother was a good man and cared for many people. He wouldn't steal from a child. He loved and helped me care for my children. He was a good uncle and a good brother. He will be missed greatly. and I hope that you please stop talking about my brother that way. His Sister Jennifer.

First of all I would like to say I think this small town newspaper should be ashamed of their self for allowing these comments to have ever been released for public to read. I guess it isn't enough that the family has lost their son to a tragic accident and will never have the oppertunity to see him grow old and have children. You have to add insult to injury by allowing these negative hurtfull comments to be read by his family. I guess if the press didn't have this kind of garbage to print no one would buy their paper. To the editor of the Basehor Sentinel…maybe you should take the time to read the comments people are posting…and I'm wondering how you would feel if these comments were about one of your family members, just days after their passing.
Francene, Rick and girls…It sounds like Ricky had a lot of friends who really cared about him and he will truly be missed and will forever live in our hearts.
Ricky…You will never be forgotten.

I did not read the comments that made every one so mad, the web page was down a couple of times when I tried to check updates on the story. To the family of Mr. Graham, I am truly sorry for your loss. Know that not everyone thinks he was an awful person. Nobody in the family of Mr. Carey is placing blame. We heard the reports that Graham had a fight with his girlfriend and his friend was on the phone with him trying to calm him down and head back. I do not believe his friend would do that for a bad person. It was a terrible accident, and niether I nor my family are placing blame. Again I am very sorry for your loss.
