Melissa Seaman of Basehor-Linwood High School competes in the hang clean lift at the Bobcat Invitational on Saturday. Seaman won the event and also took home the overall lifter award by lifting a total of 585 pounds combined in the squad, clean and bench press exercises.

Basehor-Linwood’s gymnasium was transformed from a basketball court into a weight room on Saturday, with powerlifters from throughout northeast Kansas participating in the Bobcat Invitational competition.
