Putting gasoline in your car in the evening allows fumes to dissipate overnight, making it less likely that they will contribute to high ozone the following day. During warm months, the Mid-America Regional Council urges people to not fuel up in the morning — especially on Ozone Alert days. Below, MARC answers questions about ozone pollution.
