Flowers and a cross with messages from loved ones stand at the site of a Friday two-vehicle accident that claimed the life of Ronda Andrews, a second-grade teacher at Genesis Christian Academy in Tonganoxie. The accident happened at 158th Street and U.S. Highway 24-40 where another Tonganoxie resident, Amanda Bixby, was killed in an accident in February 2007. Friday's accident occurred months before a traffic signal at the intersection is to be finished. Work on the signal is expected to start later this month.
