Bonner Blast 2009 July 1, 2009
The 10th annual Bonner Blast was Saturday, June 27. Prior to the fireworks display sponsored by the Downtown Business Inc., there was an ice cream social and City Band concert.
People take advantage of the ice cream and other desserts at the ice cream social that preceded the City Band concert.
Members of the audience during the City Band concert stood with their hands over their hearts during the National Anthem. The concert’s program contained several patriotic songs.
Fireworks were shot off from Shawnee Bluff near the Kansas Highway 7 and Kansas Highway 32 interchange.
Fireworks light up the sky Saturday night during the 10th annual Bonner Blast. While the rain and heat may have kept some people away, the evening was a success in organizers’ eyes.
