Kevin Anderson

Kevin Anderson is a photographer with the Bonner Springs Chieftain, Basehor Sentinel, Shawnee Dispatch and Lansing Current. Kevin joined the staff as chief photographer in December 2002. Before that, he was with the Kansas City Star for almost 16 years as a staff photographer and photo editor. Kevin attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He grew up in Omaha and, with the new direction of Coach Bo Pelini, he will continue the tradition as a Husker fan.

A car came to rest on the north side of Leavenworth Road after hitting an Isuzu utility vehicle Friday night in Basehor at 163rd Street. The 21-year-old male driver of the car was air lifted to an area hospital. His condition was unknown. The driver of the other vehicle was taken an area hospital as well. Witnesses told the sheriff’s officers that the car was seen traveling at a high rate of speed just moments before the accident.
Leavenworth County sheriffs investigate a two-vehicle accident Friday night at the intersection of 163rd and Leavenworth Road in Basehor. An Isuzu utility vehicle loaded with landscaping equipment was southbound on 163rd when a westbound car driven by a 21-year-old male hit it. The car continued to travel for some distance before coming to a rest in a ditch on the north side of Leavenworth Road. Witnesses told the sheriff’s officers that the car was seen traveling at a high rate of speed just moments before the accident. Both drivers were taken to area hospitals.
