Questions and answers on Feb. 28 Basehor recall election

And if Mertz and Dysart were to be recalled, but Hill is not, Hill gets to appoint their replacements. Hill's term is up in April, but we could be stuck with his hand picked crew for many more years. VOTE YES TO ALL and let's start over.

Mayor cries foul over 'wasteful spending' accusations

Recall every elected official involved with the current City administration. They are all wasting our money and time. I wonder how many business owners are reading these articles and thinking "Man, Basehor seems like a great place to start a business!"

Basehor mayor will be part of Feb. 28 recall election

I am in no way a supporter of Dysart, Mertz, or Hill, but I am trying to do my research before casting my vote. I found the email string between Mark Loughry, Terry Hill, and Patrick Reavey extremely interesting. It seems as though Loughry and Hill were trying to handle some things without the council or public knowing it. This is the problem with governing bodies. They are elected BY THE PEOPLE and are supposed to do things FOR THE PEOPLE, but often times do not want the very people that elected them to know what is happening. Clean house...start over...be more aware of who is doing what.

Mrs. Hill, your negative actions are being noticed by many and doing little to help your husband's case.

Former Basehor administrator Loughry suing city for more than $500,000

AMEN...put it to a vote and let the people decide. I think Mr. Hill knows what the outcome will be and doesn't want a tarnished reputation. Light has been shed on his suspicious actions.

This is a tough economy that is forcing people to be more careful with their money. People are finally beginning to question how the money taken from their paycheck is being spent. An occasional "business" lunch is understandable, but there seems to be an excessive amount charged by Mr. Hill. AND...they were in Johnson County. Why not go to LOCAL restaurant to discuss Basehor business.

Basehor mayor responds to recall allegations in letter to voters

Thanksgiving Day 2011- What I am thankful for...

1) I am thankful that this mayor and council have proved themselves to be incapable of performing their assigned duties.
2) I am thankful that the citizens of Basehor have become wise to the obvious abuse of tax payer funds and ignorance of our elected officials.
3) I am thankful that I might be given the chance to vote against these people AGAIN!
4) I am thankful that I read this article before our family dinner. We will now have something to discuss during our Tryptophan induced fog.
