Basehor City Council meeting agenda: March 19

First off, the shot guns...
The shot guns were loaded, and if you needed shells, lt pierce lived in town so it was never difficult to get the code to enter the cabinet...

Second.. I hope he loses the claim if not for anything other than he didn't follow directions ... He simply stated 'I'm going to pretend you didn't tell me" when his former co worker passed along important information..

Third: chief is not corrupt, he stands behind his employees, does more than what is expected AND works hard to get officers what they need.

Cory wasnt wanted in Missouri so chief gave him a chance... At will employment my friend... Dont do your job and cause conflict between other employees and you won't last long..

Making accusations that the female officer and her best friend who also worked in basehor were sleeping together, that was pretty sweet too...

Good luck !

It's not a matter of having a life or not, but I think David is a good choice, he's a good business man.

I have no personal arguement or position for or against Mr. Hill. He did his best, did what he felt was right as Mayor. Anyone in his position would have a hard time making a right decision every day or every minute, and no matter how right you are in anything, there will always be an opposition. Terry made a lot of good decisions and good movements as mayor as well. BUT, my point for the old article was, why is everyone so hyped up NOW, why didn't they say anything before?? I am just wondering what sparked a sudden interest from the citizens. I hope they continue to stay involved, it's what Basehor needs, some community involvement. It is nice to see so many people actively playing a role, whether it be offensive or defensive. Politics is a hard game to play, and no matter how much you try to do the right thing, someone will always oppose you. It's a game a chance, no one person can have all the right decisions.

Basehor mayor denies request for special council meeting before recalls take effect

OH, and where were all of you opinionated concerned citizens when the current mayor did this:

"What began as a small joke in the Basehor mayoral campaign quickly rolled into a large mishap.

Mayoral candidate Terry Hill said he never thought his campaign sign prank would become such an issue.

On the night of Feb. 25, Hill said he and his wife started putting out his campaign signs around town. Shortly afterward, Mayor Chris Garcia contacted Hill to inform him it was too early to be posting signs, and in the absence of a primary, the earliest date to post signs was Tuesday, March 10. Hill said he proceeded to gather his signs to wait for the proper date.

On the way home, Hill said he saw one of mayoral candidate Iris Dysart’s magnetic signs posted on the side of a van parked in front of JED Installation, 2722 N. 155th St.

Hill said he decided to put one of his own signs underneath Dysart’s sign on the van as a joke."

Click on Terry Hills photo attached to the paper's website and the article will come up. . ..
Guess you all should have voted then. . . .

All the good ones?? Mertz wasn't VOTED in, pretty sure he ran and no one ran against him. . . As far as I know, that's DEFAULT duty assignment. No one else wanted to do it. SO, if you think they do such a terrible job, why don't YOU run for city council!

Come up with a snazzy slogan though, and PLEASE keep your silly sign out of my yard.
