Among the year's notable events, clockwise from upper left, School Board members broke ground on the $23.6 million bond projects, Toby Young, a former prison volunteer, was sentenced for helping a killer escape from Lansing Correctional Facility, and work got under way on the two-year Main Street System Enhancement project.
