The Kaifeng guests made a visit to Lansing Intermediate School, where fourth-graders were working hard during MacGuyver Day. Students in Carol Caplinger's class had to create a tool that would allow a balloon to be inserted into the opening of a bucket. There were a few catches: The students could only use the materials Caplinger provided; the bucket's opening was lined with nails; and the students' bodies couldn't touch the balloon. The Kaifeng guests said they were surprised at "the freeness" of the classroom.
