Kayla Peterson of Basehor-Linwood placed ninth in the varsity girls race on Thursday, Oct. 16, at the Kaw Valley League Championships in Tonganoxie. It was the latest in a series of solid performances for Peterson, who was the meet champion a week earlier at the Pleasant Ridge Invitational.
