H. Ross Perot, second from right, was on hand for the opening of the Col. Arthur D. Simons Center on Wednesday, April 21, at Fort Leavenworth. Perot gave $6.1 million to the fort, including a portion that funded the Simons Center. The Texas billionaire and former presidential candidate also spoke as part of the Colin Powell Lecture Series.
