First State Bank and Trust manager Angie Kaminski (left) and Basehor Historical Society Youth Group president Shelby Crawford usher in the return of the Basehor Historical Museum’s Civil War exhibit. The exhibit titled “Reflections of the Civil War: Women and Their Quilts” is sponsored by First State Bank and characterizes the evolution of quilt making. The exhibit displays several quilts fashioned during the late 1800s and also tells stories of courageous women who used all available resources to provide for men in battle. This exhibit opened June 3 and will be on display at the museum, 2812 N. 155th St., through the month.
