MIDNIGHT CST TUESDAY NIGHT...
THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WICHITA HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR HAZARDOUS WINTER WEATHER...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO MIDNIGHT CST TUESDAY NIGHT. THE
WINTER STORM WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.
* TIMING...SNOW WILL DEVELOP LATE MONDAY NIGHT ACROSS SOUTHEAST
KANSAS AND PERSIST THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT. SNOW MAY BECOME
MODERATE TO HEAVY ON TUESDAY...BEFORE DIMINISHING AND ENDING
LATE TUESDAY NIGHT.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...BETWEEN 3 AND 6 INCHES IS EXPECTED ACROSS
SOUTHEAST KANSAS BY TUESDAY NIGHT/EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING...WITH
CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING POSSIBLE TUESDAY EVENING INTO
TUESDAY NIGHT.
* WINDS...WILL INCREASE FROM THE NORTH AT 15 TO 25 MPH AND GUSTY
BY TUESDAY EVENING.
* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL LIKELY BE IMPACTED STARTING MONDAY NIGHT
AND CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY EVENING. THE HEAVIER SNOW WILL
RESULT IN REDUCED VISIBILITY. CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND
DRIFTING IS ALSO EXPECTED.
