THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TOPEKA HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM CST THIS
EVENING. THE WINTER STORM WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
* TIMING...PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CONTINUE THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING
WITH SNOW CHANCES DIMINISHING THIS AFTERNOON.
* TOTAL SNOW AND ICE ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS
OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE ANTICIPATED...WITH TOTAL AMOUNTS OF SNOW
AND SLEET IN THE 2 TO 5 INCH RANGE.
* WINDS...NORTH TO NORTHEAST WINDS WILL BE SUSTAINED AT 10 TO 20
MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH.
* WIND CHILL...WIND CHILLS WILL RANGE FROM NEGATIVE 10 TO NEGATIVE
20 DEGREES.
* IMPACTS...SNOW COVERED AND ICY ROAD CONDITIONS ARE LIKELY...
WHICH WILL RESULT IN SLICK ROADS AND DANGEROUS TRAVELING
CONDITIONS. HYPOTHERMIA AND FROSTBITE COULD OCCUR QUICKLY FOR
PERSONS EXPOSED TO THE COLD.
