County,
Special Weather Statement issued January 18 at 3:26AM CST by NWS
Effective: 3:26 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015
Expires: 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015

...HIGH FIRE DANGER EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON...
DRY WEATHER COMBINED WITH UNSEASONABLY WARM TEMPERATURES AND BREEZY
SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL ALLOW FOR THE POTENTIAL OF RAPID FIRE
GROWTH THIS AFTERNOON ACROSS EAST CENTRAL KANSAS THROUGH PARTS OF
CENTRAL MISSOURI... INCLUDING THE KANSAS CITY METROPOLITAN AREA. ALL
PERSONS WITH OUTSIDE BURNING INTERESTS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR QUICK
FIRE GROWTH WHILE TAKING MEASURES TO ENSURE ANY CONTROLLED BURNS DO
NOT QUICKLY BECOME OUT OF CONTROL. BY EARLY EVENING...WEAKER WINDS
COMBINED WITH AN INCREASE IN RELATIVE HUMIDITY WILL LESSEN THE THREAT
FOR QUICK FIRE GROWTH AND SPREAD.
