ACROSS MUCH OF EASTERN IOWA INTO NORTHWEST ILLINOIS THROUGH AT
LEAST NOON TODAY. WITH SURFACE TEMPERATURES AT OR BELOW FREEZING
THIS WILL RESULT IN ADDITIONAL LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS...
GENERALLY LESS THAN A TENTH OF AN INCH. UNTREATED AND LESS
TRAVELED ROADS WILL BE SUSCEPTIBLE TO ANY ICING. THE ICE
ACCUMULATION THREAT IS EXPECTED TO END THIS AFTERNOON.
A WINTER STORM WILL IMPACT THE ENTIRE AREA SATURDAY NIGHT AND
SUNDAY. A COMBINATION OF HEAVY SNOW...SLEET...BLOWING SNOW... AND
SOME FREEZING RAIN WILL LIKELY CAUSE DANGEROUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS
OVER THE AREA. SNOW AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED TO RANGE FROM 4 TO
8 INCHES IN EAST CENTRAL IOWA AND NORTHWEST ILLINOIS...TO LESS
THAN 4 INCHES IN SOUTHEASTERN IOWA...WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND
NORTHEAST MISSOURI. THESE LOCATIONS WITH LOWER AMOUNTS OF SNOW
WILL ALSO SEE A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF SLEET AND FREEZING RAIN.

* VISIBILITIES...LESS THAN ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES SATURDAY NIGHT
AND SUNDAY DUE TO SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.
* IMPACTS...SLICK SPOTS ON UNTREATED ROADS ARE LIKELY TODAY
