For the first time, Class 4-1A will have its own classification for high school girls soccer, leaving behind Class 5A now that more schools in Kansas are sponsoring the sport. That means St. James Academy and St. Thomas Aquinas wont stand in each other's way for a state championship — but it also means the Thunder are the early favorites in 4-1A.
